MINOR PROCEDURES

MINOR FACIAL PROCEDURES

TORN EARLOBE REPAIR

Ear lobe piercings can become partially or completely torn. These can be easily repaired in the office under local anesthesia. Sutures are in place for 7-10 days. The ear lobe can be re-pierced in several months. The results are predictable and satisfying

GAUGE EAR LOBE REPAIR

Gauge earrings can produce very distorted and elongated earlobes. The large gap can be closed and the earlobe can usually be repaired to produce a natural looking ear.

FACIAL MOLES

There are a variety of facial moles which can be present on the facial skin. Many moles can be safely and easily removed for cosmetic purposes without leaving a scar. Some types of moles do result in a small scar after removal but these are typically more desirable than the appearance of the mole. Dr Strecker can advise you regarding the best treatment for your specific mole. If you have concerns that the mole is cancerous, see your doctor first.

FACIAL CYSTS

Oily sebaceous cysts and lipomas can be surgically removed, usually with only a thin scar. Dr Strecker does not treat acne or rashes, but he removes facial cysts for cosmetic purposes under local anesthesia in the office.

RHINOPHYMA

This socially debilitating condition can be treated surgically to improve nasal appearance. This condition is associated with rosacea and is not related to excess alcohol consumption as was previously thought.

SCAR REVISION

Some scars can be improved with surgical procedures. This is done primarily by cutting out the old scar and trying to create a better scar with good suturing technique and postoperative care. Dr Strecker can advise you whether your scar is likely to improve following scar revision. Not all scars are good candidates for revision.
